Frequently Asked Questions
How large are the groups?
Group sizes depend on the room where children spend their day. In younger groups (4-5 year olds), the maximum number of children is 13, and in the oldest groups, it's 15. In the youngest groups, we prioritize an individual approach to each child's needs, which is why these groups have a maximum of 10 children.
How many teachers supervise the groups?
Each group has its lead teacher and an English teacher assigned to the group. Additionally, a teaching assistant is permanently assigned to the toddler groups. Throughout the day, our Native Speakers also take turns supervising the groups.
What are the preschool's opening hours?
Our preschool is open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM during the school year, and from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM during holidays and duty days.
What is the daily schedule?
The day at preschool begins with breakfast at 8:30 AM. Educational and physical activities start at 9:00 AM, according to each group's schedule. Meals (second breakfast, soup, main course) are served between activities. In the youngest groups, an afternoon nap takes place from 1:30 PM to approximately 3:00 PM. Children who do not wish to nap engage in quiet activities. Activities included in the package last until 2:30 PM. In the afternoon, children can participate in additional paid activities, such as chess, jiu-jitsu, theater workshops, or art classes. Every day, we ensure that children spend time outdoors.
Is catering paid additionally, and are there deductions for meal rates?
The catering fee is included in the fixed tuition and is not subject to deductions due to a child's absence. A specialized diet (e.g., gluten-free) may incur an additional charge — this is discussed during an individual meeting with the preschool director.
How are meals prepared?
Our preschool has its own kitchen, so all meals are prepared on-site. We use the best products supplied by our long-standing providers. When preparing meals, we do not use highly processed products — we make our own millet puddings, fruit jellies, fruit smoothies, and preserves. Our head chef ensures that meals are balanced and nutritious. We limit salt and sugar intake. We do not serve children artificially sweetened additives or snacks. Every Friday, for afternoon tea, we serve homemade cake baked by our cook.
Are special diets available?
Yes. Elimination diets, including dairy-free, are prepared as part of the tuition fee. Diets requiring the purchase of additional specialized products, such as gluten-free or vegan, are provided for an additional fee of PLN 100.00.
What qualifications do the teachers have?
All our teachers have higher pedagogical education focused on working with preschool-aged children. Additionally, they hold numerous professional development certificates in observation, diagnosis, and specialized therapy. Most teachers have been with us for many years, ensuring children have contact with top-class specialists in bilingualism and preparing children for first grade in primary school.
What educational methods are used?
In our preschool, we use a variety of teaching methods tailored to the age and needs of the children. Activating methods play an important role, engaging children in activities such as movement games, drama, group work, or guided conversations. Our teachers also utilize play-based pedagogy, project-based learning, and learning through action and experience. During classes, songs, rhymes, thematic games, and art activities are used, allowing children to learn naturally while developing creativity, independence, and social skills. Contact with art is very important to us, as it is crucial for motor skills and coordination development. It also serves as a safety valve, allowing children to express emotions in a safe and socially acceptable way. Art holds a significant place in our curriculum, strengthening a sense of agency and building self-confidence.
What does adaptation look like?
Adaptation in our preschool takes place in an atmosphere of calm and security. Our teachers carefully observe the children and adjust the methods and duration of this process to the individual needs of each child and parent. The main adaptation period for 3-year-old children takes place in the last two weeks of August, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this time, children and their parents participate in activities organized by the teachers assigned to the group. For older groups, the adaptation process is arranged individually.
